About the Bash
This is our Eighth Annual Summer Bash, which, in 2009 became a fundraiser for the Food Bank of Delaware. All proceeds from the Bash now go to the Food Bank of Delaware, an amazing non-profit that needs our help.
The musical talent we have enjoyed over the years has included Grammy winners Billy Dean and Pam Tillis, Grammy nominees Deborah Allen and Becky Hobbs, and Delaware favorites Todd Chappelle and Love Seed Mama Jump. This year will feature country music superstar Aaron Tippin, a guaranteed crowd-pleaser.
As always at the Annual Summer Bash the food will be top-notch, thanks to the Food Bank of Delaware's Culinary School. Dogfish Head Beer—"the Official Brew of the Bash"—and non-alcoholic beverages will also be provided.
This year we will also be recognizing and celebrating the passage of Delaware’s historic Civil Union and Equality Act of 2011, which grants all of the state-recognized rights and responsibilities of marriage to same-gender couples!
This gala has become a signature event in Delaware, drawing crowds topping 900. As always, the Annual Summer Bash is a low-dollar, family-and-friends, environmentally conscious event, held under a big-top tent in historic Milton.
For only $35 (and the donation of non-perishable food items—and front-row seating for two will be awarded to the guest who brings the largest donation of non-perishable food items by weight!) you can:
- Visit with Aaron Tippin and other notables
- Enjoy gourmet food and cool drinks
- Be treated to a world-class musical concert
- Boost the Food Bank of Delaware's efforts to distribute 12 million pounds of food per year
But in order to achieve low costs and maximum proceeds for the Food Bank of Delaware, we need your help...
How you can help spread the word:
- Circulate information about the Bash, including this Web site, with your family, friends, co-workers and neighbors
- Post information, including this Web address, on your blogs and social networking sites such as Myspace, Facebook and Twitter. The Annual Summer Bash is on Facebook.
- Help someone purchase a ticket online who otherwise may not be able (saves paper and postage)
